NOTICE is hereby given that SEALED PROPOSALS will be received until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, by the Board of County Commissioners at the Office of the County Engineer, 3300 Bridge Ave, Albert Lea, MN 56007, at which time the proposals will be opened. Proposals will be considered at the County Board meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, for the following project: PROJECT NO: CP 025-M-000 CONTRACT NUMBER: 250000 LOCATION: Various location throughout Freeborn County, Minnesota.
TYPE OF WORK: SEASONAL BIDS.
- Corrugated Steel Pipe Culverts.
- Concrete Culverts and Concrete Bridge Materials.
- Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe Culverts and Perforated P.E. Pipe Drain
- Plant Mixed Bituminous Materials.
- Washed Sand for Ice Control.
- Equipment Rental (Grading and Other Construction Equipment).

Bids must be sealed, identified on the envelope and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid made payable to the Auditor/Treasurer of Freeborn County. The Freeborn County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities therein. All future advertisements for bid will be found on the Freeborn County Highway Department Website and will no longer be published in the Albert Lea Tribune. Philip Wacholz P.E. Posting questions and receiving answers are available on the Freeborn County OneOffice website. You must be an authenticated user to ask questions. Click on the green “ADD” button in the “Messages” section of the Contract page. An “Ask a Question” window will appear (If window does not appear check your popup settings). Type your question in the “Question” area and Click on Submit. The answer will posted in the “Messages” section of the Contract page within 48 hours. All Plan Holders will be notified by email of the question being posted. Click on “Details” next to the message for the answer. Every attempt will be made to answer posted questions within 2 business days. No answers to questions posted after 2:00 pm on the day prior to bid opening date.
